Gunner Van Erden must build a rectangular storage shed. He wants the length to be 3ft greater than the width, and the perimeter must be 22ft. Find the length and the width of the shed.

2x+2(x+3)=22
2x+2x+6=22
4x=22-6
4x=16
x=4 width
x+3=7 length
