Question 473123: The length of a table is 3 m greater than the width. The area is 70 m^2. Find the dimensions of the table
Answer by sofiyac(983)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
width is x
length is x+3
area=length*width
70=x(x+3)
70=x^2+3x
0=x^2+3x-70

measure can't be negative for length and width so we have to go with + option

so width is 7, then length is 7+3=10
