The greatest area is obtained for a given perimeter is when the rectangle is a square whose side is one-fourth of the perimeter. Your perimeter is 30 feet, one-fourth of 30 feet is 7.5 feet. But you need whole number dimensions -- that means 8 feet long by 7 feet wide. 56 square feet total area.
