The very first thing you have to do is to stop typing in all caps. It is the equivalent of shouting and is therefore annoying and rude.
The area of a rectangle is the length times the width, so presuming you meant that 
represents the measure of the length and that 
represents the measure of the width, just multiply the two expressions.
(x\ +\ 3))
Use FOIL.
