Question 449773: what is the length and width if the perimeter is 46 and the area is 90
Answer by jorel1380(3719)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2L+2W=46
LxW=90
2L=46-2W
L=23-W
(23-W)W=90
23W-W2=90
W2-23W+90=0
(W-18)(W-5)=0
W=18 or 5
Using 5 as our width, we get the dimensions of our rectangle to be 18 by 5..
