Why 3? There are an infinite # of possibilities.
eg, 1 by 31 --> Area = 31
2 by 30 --> Are = 20
3 by 29 --> Area = 87
pi by 28.8584 --> Area = 90.6614
16 by 16 --> Area = 256 (the maximum area)

Pick any value for the width in the range . Note and obey the "strictly less than" relationships in the given range (if you pick either exactly 0 or exactly 32 for the width, you will have a line, not a rectangle). Multiply this value by 2. Subtract the result from 64. Divide the result by 2. The end result will be the corresponding length.

Perform the above procedure two more times. Take each selected width and multiply it by the corresponding length to get the area of the specified rectangle.

You will get the largest possible area if you choose a value for that is one-fourth of the perimeter so that the resulting rectangle will actually be a square.
