Question 421608: I have a diagram of a rectangle and I'm supposed to find the value of the variables and the side lengths of the rectangle. The top side is 10x, the bottom side is 2y+28, the left side is 2x+34, and the right side is 4y. I'm not sure how to figure this out I have tried many times thinking I'm supposed to set the opposite sides equal to one another. Please help ASAP!

Rectangle: Opposite sides Equal

Question states***

 10x = 2y + 28         OR 2y = 10x -28  OR  y = 5x-14

 2x+34 = 4y

 2x+34 = 4(5x-14)   |Substituing for y

 2x+34 = 20x -56

    90 = 18x

     5 = x and y = 11 (25-14)

 Top and bottom are 50 (10x)

and right and left are 44 (4y)
