If the area of a rectangle is 108cm2,and the ratio is 3:4
what is the perimeter?
:
Let x = the multiplier
then
3x * 4x = 108
12x^2 = 108
:
divide both sides by 12
x^2 = 108/12
x^2 = 9
x =
x = 3 is the multiplier
therefore
3*3 = 9 is width
3*4 = 12 is length
:
Find the perimeter
2(9) + 2(12) =
18 + 24 = 42 cm is the perimeter
