Let x and (2x+5)represent the width and length respectively

Question states***

  2(2x+5) + 2x = 58ft

     6x = 48ft

      x = 8ft, the width.  The length is 21ft   (16ft+5ft)

CHECKING our Answer***

  2*21ft  + 2*8ft = 42ft + 16ft = 58ft
