Question 402311: The length of a rectangle is 3 cm greater than its width. The perimeter is 24cm. Find the dimensions of the rectangle
Answer by sofiyac(983) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the width be x
then length is x+3
24=2(x+3)+2x
24=2x+6+2x
24=4x+6
18=4x
4.5=x
so width is 4.5
then length is 4.5+3=7.5
