heres another! Suppose the area of a square is 169 ft2. Find the perimeter.

Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Square both sides of the given equation:

(x -2)(x-9) = 0,
x = 2, 9. Only x = 9 will satisfy the original equation, and thus is the final answer.
If the area of a square is 169 square feet, then an edge measures the square root of this, or 13 feet. The perimeter is then 4*13 = 52 feet.
