Perimeter = 2L + 2W
where L = length of rectangle in feet
W = width of rectangle in feet
L = 2W
Perimeter = 2L + 2W
720 = 2L + 2W
Since L = 2W, we get
720 = 2(2W) + 2W
6W = 720
W = 120
L = 2W = 2(120) = 240
The dimensions of the yard are 120 feet and 240 feet
