Question 351982: The length of a rectangle is 5m more than it's width. It's perimeter is 90m. What are the dimensions ?
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=W+5
2L+2W=90
2(W+5)+2W=90
2W+10+2W=90
4W=90-10
4W=80
W=80/4
W=20 ANS. FOR THE WIDTH.
L=20+5=25 ANS. FOR THE LENGTH.
PROOF:
2*25+2*20=90
50+40=90
90=90
