Question 3477: The side of a square, AB and AD, are extended 14cm and 10cm respectively, to form sides AE and AF of a rectangle. If the perimeter of the rectangle is at least twice the perimeter of the square, at most how long is a side of the square?
Answer by khwang(438)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the side of the square be x.
Solve
2(x+10+x+14) >= 2*4x,
4x + 48 >= 8x,
48 >= 4x,
12 >= x

It is too simple to explain.
