A polynomial is an expression of finite length constructed from variables and constants, using only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative, whole-number exponents.

Looks very polynomial-like to me. Let's see

Finite length √
Constants and variables √
only Addition, Subtraction, and Multiplication √
All exponents are non-negative whole numbers √

Passes all of the tests. Add the exponents in each term. First term 3: Second term 6: Third term: 0. Highest is 6, degree of the polynomial is therefore 6.
