Question 31580: I have an 8 foot square and wish to line it with bricks. How many are needed if the bricks are 8 inches by 4 inches?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Draw a picture of the square.
Convert the feet to inches.
Find the perimeter (distance around) of the square in inches.
There are two possible answers to your question.
One: You could divide the perimeter by 8 inches if you are
going to put the 8" side next to the square.
Two: You could divide the perimeter by 4 inches if you are
going to put the 4" side next to the square.

Stan H.
