Question 294650: The length of a rectangle is six times its width.
If the area of the rectangle is 216 in ^2, find its perimeter
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let the width be x
the length will be 6x
the area = L*W
6x*x+216
6x^2=216
x^2=216/6
x^2=36
x=6 which is the width
the length will be 6*6=36
the perimeter will be 2L+2W
2*6 + 2*36
12+72
=84 --- perimeter
