Question 273644: Find the vertex of y+xsquared + 5
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the vertex of y+xsquared + 5
---
I'm going to assume you meant y = x^2+5
---
You have a quadratic with a = 1, b = 0, c = 5
---
The vertex occurs where x = -b/2a = -0/(2) = 0
--
The y-value when x = 0 is y = 0^2+5 = 5
---
So the vertex is (0,5)
