=
Cross multiply
3x = 8*6
3x = 48
x = 48/3
x = 16

ratio of the width to the length L is 3:8.
W:L=3:8
6:L=3:8
by equality rule product of extreme numbers = product of mid values
6*8=L*3
24=3L
L=24/3=8
So Length = 8
Width=3
