Hello,
We can set this up with the x being the width and x+7 being the length. Now we can set up an equation as:
x+x+(x+7)+(x+7)=54 Combine like terms will give us:
4x+14=54 Subtract 14 from both sides.
4x=40 divide both sides by 4.
x=10
So the width is 10 cm and length is 17 cm.
Add the sides equals 54 cm
