The length of a rectange is 3 m more than twice its width, and the area of the rectange is 35 m^2. Findthe dimensions of the rectangle
-----
Area = l*w = 35
l = 2w+3
w*(2w+3) = 35
2w^2 + 3w - 35 = 0
(2w - 7)*(w + 5 ) =0
w = 3.5 meters
l = 10 meters

The length of a rectangle is 3 m more than twice its width, and the area of the rectangle is 35 m^2. Findthe dimensions of the rectangle.
---------------------------------
L = 2W+3
--------------------
Area = W*L
35 = W(2W+3)
2W^2 + 3W - 35 = 0
Factor:
2W^2 + 10W-7W - 35 = 0
2W(W+5) -7(W+5) = 0
(W+5)(2W-7) = 0
Positive solution:
2W-7 = 0
W = 3.5 meters (width)
L = 2W+3 = 10 meters (length)

Let l be the length of a rectangle
and w be the width if the rectangle
given that the length of a rectangle is 3 m more than twice its width,
that is l=2w+3
the area of the rectangle is 35 m^2
lw=35
now solve for l and w
hope u got it
