Let W=width and L=length

Since the "length is 5 meters more than the width", this tells us that (ie add 5 to the width to get the length)

Start with the perimeter formula

Plug in (the given perimeter) and

Distribute

Subtract 10 from both sides

Combine like terms.

Divide both sides by 4 to isolate "W"

Reduce

So the width is 15 meters

Go back to the length equation

Plug in

Add

So the length is 20 meters.
