Let x = the side of the square
then
(x+17) = length of the rectangle

It's also apparent that:
x = width of the rectangle
:
2(x+17) + 2x = 326
:
2x + 34 + 2x = 326

x = 73 ft

Length = 73 + 17 = 90 ft
width = 73 ft
