Question 139792: The perimeter of a rectangle is 52m. The length is 2m more than twice the width. Find the dimensions.
Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
L=2W+2
2W+2(2W+2)=52
2W+4W+4=52
6W=52-4
6W=48
W=48/6
W=8m. IS THE WIDTH
L=2*8+2
L=16+2
L=18m. IS THE LENGTH.
PROOF:
2*8+2*18=52
16+36=52
52=52
