The width of a rectangle is 14 feet less than twice the length. What is the length if the perimeter is 62 feet?
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
W=2L-14
2(2L-14)+2L=62
4L-28+2L=62
6L=62+28
6L=90
L=90/6
L=15 IS THE LENGTH
W=2*15-14
W=30-14
W=16 IS THE WIDTH.
PROOF:
2*15+2*16=62
30+32=62
62=62
