We are given the height and the legnth of the diagonal.
Using the Pythagorean Theorum, we can use the given information to find the leghnth of the base, which is what we need in oreder to calculate area.
a%5E2+%2B+b%5E2+=+c%5E2
a%5E2+%2B+10%5E2+=+26%5E2
a%5E2+=+576
a = 24
Area = base x height
Area = (24)(10)
Area = 240

answer to area of rectangle with a diagonal length of 26m and height of 10m
area of rectangle: A+=+L%2AW
L....... length of rectangle
W...........width of rectangle
given:
a diagonal length =d
d+=26m
height=width=10m
then
use Pythagorean Theorem to calculate L
L%5E2+=+d%5E2+-+W%5E2.......
L+=+sqrt%28d%5E2+-+W%5E2%29.......
L+=+sqrt%28%2826m%29%5E2+-+%2810m%29%5E2%29.......
L+=+sqrt%28676m%5E2+-+100m%5E2%29.......
L+=+sqrt%28576m%5E2+%29.......
L+=+24m.......

so, the area is:
A+=+L%2AW
A+=+24m%2A10m
A+=+240m%5E2
