X^2+X^2+2X+1=16
2X^2+2X+1-16
2X^2+2X-15=0
USING THE QUADRATIC EQUATION:
X=(-2+-SQRT[2^2-4*2*-15])/2*2
X=(-2+-SQRT[4+120 ])/4
X=(-2+-SQRT[124])/4
X=(-2+-11.136)/4
X=(-2+11.136)/4
X=9.136/4
X=2.28 ANSWER.
X=(-2-11.138)/4
