Question 125063:
Find the range for the measure of the third side of a triangle with the given two sides 31 and 4.
31 > x > 4
35 > x > 4
35 > x > 27
35 > x > 31
Couldnt it be B or C. Say it was C and the third side is 28 or 34. 31+4 is more than 28 and 34. Say the third side was 31 28+4 is more than 31. Say the answer was D and the third side was 32 or 34. 31+4 ir more than 32 and 34. So i am not sure

THE MINIMUM LENGTH IS 31-4=27
THE MAXIMUM LENGTH IS 31+4=35
THUS THE INEQUALITY IS:
35 > X > 27.
