SORRY I MISREAD THE FIGURE 8 & TOOK IT FOR A 6.
IF THE WIDTH IS 12 AND THE LENGTH IS 20 THEN THE WIDTH(12) IS 8 LESS THAN THE LENGTH(18) OR
20-8=12

12+8=20CM FOR THE LENGTH IS THE CORRECT ANSWER.
