.

L + W + L + W = 84,   L = 5W  ===========>

5W + W + 5W + W = 84

12W             = 84

  W             = 84/12

  W             = 7 cm

  L             = 7*5 = 35 cm

The area of the rectangle = L*W = 35*7 = 245 cm^2.    ANSWER
