Question 1088378: The ratio between the length and breadth of a reactangular park is 3:2 . If a man cycling along the boundary of the park at the speed of 12km/hr completes one round in 8 minutes , then what is the area of the park ?

Workout:
2L + 2W = perimeter = (8/60hr) * 12km/hr = 8/5km <—<<< perimeter
Also, we are given that L/W = 3/2 —> L=(3/2)W
Plug in (3/2)W for L in the perimeter equation:
2(3/2)W + 2W = 8/5 —> W=(8/25)km —> L=(12/25)km
Area = L*W = (12/25)*(8/25) = 96/625km^2
