Question 1086567: Show that the points (1,4),(7,0),(5,-3).and (-1,1) are the verticles of a rectangle and find its area.

Use the slope formula to find the slopes of all
four sides. Then show that the sides that are perpendicular
have slopes that are opposite signed reciprocals, and that
the parallel sides have equal slopes.

Then use the distance formula to find the length and width.
Multiply them to find the area.
