What do you mean the length is 115�1/4? Do you mean the length is 28.75?
Same with the width, 75�2/3 = 50. Is this what you mean?
If this is the case:
28.75�50 = area of 1437.50
2/3 are covered with plants: 1437.50�2/3 = (1437.50�2)/3 = area covered with plants, subtract it from 1437.50 to find the remaining area
