Question 1074043: if you have two similar rectangles, one has length of 4.5 in and perimeter of 49, the second onnly 12 width, what is the lengh of the second?
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The first:
Perimeter = 2w+2l
49 = 2w+2(4.5)
2w+9 = 49
2w = 40
w = 20
Now, what do you want to do with the second triangle? They are similar in what way? Is this a ratio problem? I can't read minds, you've got to tell me what it is you are looking for.
