If the perimeter of the rectangle is

Let width be W

Then length = W + 2 ------ eq (i)

Since perimeter = 56 m, we see that: L + W = 28 ------ eq (ii)

W + 2 + W = 28 ------- Substituting W + 2 for L in eq (ii)

2W = 26

W, or width =
