The perimeter of rectangle is 300 yards. What are the dimensions of the rectangle
if the length is 70 yards more than the width.

L + W = 150    (1)    ( 150 =  !)
L - W =  70    (2)

Add equations (1) and (2). You will get

2L = 150 + 70 = 220  --->  L =  = 110.

From this point find W on your own.
