B =2H
BH = 162
Substitute 2H from 1st eq into second eq :
2(H^2)=162
H^2=81
H=9 therefore B=18
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2h*h= 162
2h^2= 162 divide both sides by 2
h^2= 81 take the square root, both sides
h= 9 the height is 9 and the base:
9*2= 18
---------------------
Quick check: 18*9= 162
------------------------
The perimeter:
2(18)+2(9)= P
36+16= P
P= 52
