Question 54301This question is from textbook
: I am a nursing student and I am required to take college algebra. I took it on line and I am really struggling. Please help, I have to pass this class to move on to my next nursing class in January.
Use the following function definitions f(x)=-x^+2x g(x)=!3-2x!(absolute value)
h(x)=sqrt 5-x p(x)=2/x to evaluate the following: (g+h)(2)=________________
(h/p)(-3)=________________.
For part 1 I have g(2)+h(2)= 2!3-2x!+2(sqrt 5-2) =2!3-2x!+10-4
= 2!3-2x!+6
The instructor did not give an example w/ absolute value or square roots and his questions do not come from the book. We had to have cds burned at the beginning of the semester. I am not book smart and I'm just not getting this. Thanks so much for your help.
