Question 128750: I know these questions are easy for you guys but I just don't retain any algebra at all. I try my best before I consult you. On that note can you help me refresh my memory on this graphing type problem? I need to solve by graphing.
Do I need points for this question? If I do I will use x = points 0 ,-1, 1 and
Do I need points for Y ? Can you show me the easiest way? I really appreciate all your help, I really do! This problem is a handout and is not in a book. Thanks so much.

Question 128923: Find the roots
X^3 - X^2 + 15X - 17 = 0
If I use synthetic division, I get
(X + 1)(X^2 - 2x + 17)
This is where I am stuck. I need help to finish it because I can't get synthetic division to come out right.

: An open metal chemical tank is to be made from a rectangular piece of stainless steel that measures 10 feet by 8 feet, by cutting out squares of the same size from each corner and bending up the sides. If the volume of the tank is to be 48 cubic feet, how large a square should be cut from each corner?
The problem asks to find all rational solutions exactly, and find irrational solutions to one decimal place.

We need to find out the output for these equations. The problem asks if both companies use the same amount of capital and labor, which will generate more output?

240xy^3z^7 I first simplified the 72 and 240 by dividing both by 8. I think I need to factor them before finding the lowest terms, but can't figure out how to factor the different variables.
