T(l) = 2pi * square root(l/g) where g is 32.2 feet per second per second
now solve for l
a) T/(2pi) = square root(l/g)
square both sides of =
(T/(2pi))^2 = l/32.2
l = 32.2 * (T/(2pi))^2
b) if T (period) is 3 seconds then
l = 32.2 * (3/(2pi))^2
l = 32.2 * 0.227972663
l = 7.340719753
length of pendulum is 7.340719753 feet
