Question 94262: Why do intersecting lines represent a unique solution? Give examples to support your answer.
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Every point on the 1st line satisfies the equation for that line.
Every point on the 2nd line satisfies the equation for that line.
The point of intersection of the two lines satisfies both equations
and is therefore the "solution" for the system of equations.
