To get the closest fitting parabola, we use a TI-84 calculator:

Press WINDOW 

Make it read Xmin=-1, Xmax=7,Ascl=1,Ymin=-50,Xmax=1700,Yscl=100,

Press 2ND, Y=, ENTER, ENTER 

Press STAT, ENTER and enter x-values in L1 and y-values in L2

Press STAT, ->, 5  

Next to   "Store RegEQ:" Press VARS -> ENTER ENTER to get Y1 there

Scroll to "Calculate"

Press ENTER, GRAPH
