Question 91935: find the LCD for -5/x^2t and x/t^3
a. x^2t^3
b. x^2t
c. xt^2
d. x^2t^2
i dont understand how to find the lcd at all im really confused with this because on the first fraction both x and t are the denominator. but the second fraction has them split up on top and bottom. xan someone help me clear up how to work this out?

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
find the LCD for -5/x^2t and x/t^3
--------------
The LCD must contain each of the factors of the denominator in its highest
power.
------------------
You have
x^2 in the denominator so there must be an x^2 factor
you have t and t^3 so there must be a t^3
-----------------
The LCD is x^2t^3
