which of the following statements would represent a non-permissible value for the expression x/x+y?
a. x=y
b. x=0
c. x=2y
d. x= -y

The expression = x/(x+y) if the denominator is 0 then x/(x+y) is
not defined. hence if x = -y ,then x+y = -y+y = 0
x = -y is a non permissible value for the expressio x/x+y
