I have tried the quadratic formula and synthetic division twice and factoring and the A times C method, but nothing works! I know the answer, but I don't understand why I can't get the answer.

Y=12x^3-28x^2+17x-3;(1/2)

:
12x^2 - 22x + 6; factors to
(6x-2)(2x-3) = 0
Two solutions
6x = 2
x = 6/2; 1/3
and
2x = 3
x = 3/2
