Question 844070: i am trying to solve the problem of x/(x^2-9) 1/(x 3)=4
i started by using an LCD of (x 3)(x-3) to multiply to each term on both sides of equation. I arrived at an answer of x (x-3)=4(x^2-9). then i simplfied more to arrive at -4x^2-2x-33=0. i'm stuck. not sure how to tackle problem further

You have a sign error in your constant term and your x term,
Use the quadratic formula,

you made a mistake when grouping because you will get x (x-3)=4x^2-36
2x-3=4x^2-36
both the 2x and -3 will cross the equal sign and you will get
4x^2-2x-33=0
use the general formula and you will get -3.133 and 3.133
