The vertical asymptote here would be x=0 (the y-axis), since we can't put x=0 into the above equation.
As for the horizontal asymptote, if you look carefully, 2/x can never equal zero, and therefore the value of y can never equal 1.
So the horizontal asymptote would be y=1.
You can also look at it this way: rearrange your equation to make x the subject of this formula:


In this expression we can't have a denominator of zero, and the only value of y which makes it zero is y=1.
