Make a graph by using the line of symmentry, vertex, and intercepts.
The equation is y=x^2-x-2
--------------
Complete the square to get:
y = x^2-x+(1/2)^2 -2-(1/2)^2
y = (x-(1/2))^2 -(9/4)
y+(9/4) = (x-(1/2))^2
--------------
Axis of symmetry: x=1/2
Vertex: (1/2,-9/4)
y-intercept: Let x=0, then y=-2
x-intercept: Let y=0, then x=[1+-sqrt(1-4*-2)]/2 = 2 or x = -1
