Problem:
1 square tile= 20cm. The square has 9 tiles. the floor is 6m long and 3m wide. Some tiles are white and some are black. in the image there are 5 white tiles and 4 black tiles.
nr.1 (solved):
A)How many tiles needed for the floor? 450 tiles
B) How many black? 200 tiles
C) How many needed if there is a 10% breakage? Black:220 white:275
D) what is the cost if one black tile costs 1.85$ and white 2.40$? Total cost:1067$
NR.2
Investigate which measurements for rectangular floors would allow this pattern to fit nicley on the floor with complete patterns?
(please help me!!!!!)

Nr.3:
if there are 16 tiles on a 4 by 4 array and the floor is 8m long and 4m wide answer questions A,B,C,D and 2.

For 2, You might want the dimensions of a room to be multiples of 20cm so that tiles do not have to be cut.
Do you want dimensions such that there are the same number of black and white tiles? This might be true for checkerboard. Are there other "nice patterns" ?
