i'm having problem finding the domain ... is there a simpler way to find the domain? f(x)=5x/x-1
----------------
Don't try to see what the domain is; try to see what the domain is NOT.
The domain is limited if there are variables in the denominator of the
function and if there are radicals. Denominators cannot be zero and
radicands must not be negative if the index is even.
-----------
Your Problem has a denominator; it must not be zero.
So x cannot be 1.
It has no radicals so that is the only restriction for the domain.
Answer: All Real Numbers except x=1
